Love Them, Love Him...

We renamed this blog "Love Them, Love Him" when we started our adoption process. Matthew 25:40 simply states that when we show love to others... particularly the "least of these", we are loving Jesus as well. That verse along with others that call the church to defend the poor and the oppressed and care for the widow and orphan really challenge me.

Our family mission statement is to "partner with God to rescue people from this broken world." That is what we want our family to be about. That's what I want to be about. After praying and asking God to give me clear direction on how to care for the least of these in my day to day, stay at home mom life, I feel like He has dropped a great opportunity in my lap! I love it when he does that!

I am now, the newest Ambassador for Noonday Collection! Noonday is a company that started here in Austin with the purpose of creating a pathway out of poverty for vulnerable populations all while helping raise money for families adopting. Noonday is literally changing the lives of women all over the world as we sell their unique, hand made items here, creating steady, fair wage marketplaces there. I love that I get to be a part of that!
